What is a screen?

It is a finely woven piece of polyester stretched over a
frame of aluminum or wood. The screen is applied with a light sensitive emulsion.
Any area exposed to UV light become “fixed” and harden when the screen is washed.
The film (with the image to be printed) blocks the light from the areas ink needs to
pass through. The areas in the emulsion that light is blocked from wash out from the
sceen leaving the tiny holes of the fabric unobstructed for ink to pass through.
