Ink Options:
Plastisol - Water Based - Discharge
Plastisol ink
This is the standard of the screen printing industry. Vibrant colors and durability on a wide range of fabrics.
Water-Based Ink
We use the Matsui 301 series of water-based inks for an eco-friendly option. PVC and co-solvent free, they promote breathability on the fabrics, while still delivering opacity and bright colors on light and dark garments. The prints have almost no feel, making them great to use on premium and fashion fit garments for the most comfortable t-shirts ever. Water-based inks are not suited for all types of fabrics, but we can help you with ink choices to make your product the best it can be.
Discharge Ink
Discharge inks are also water based and deliver the soft-to-the-touch prints that many clients are looking for, especially those with larger designs. Discharge inks are recommended for use with 100% cotton fabric. However, we can assess your fabric content and garment color to see if discharge printing is right for your project.
Printing discharge produces bright colors (on 100% cotton garments) through a process of removing the garment color and replacing it with the ink color. Rather than the design sitting on top of the fabric, like traditional plastisol ink, discharge designs becomes part of the fabric. After a single wash, this will become your favorite tee to wear; softer to the touch than your uncle’s 40-year old hand me down Led Zep tee he grabbed on the Houses of the Holy tour.
We can guide you to which ink will work best for your project.
